They could also give out capes in Minecraft Now's/Minecon Live's Livestreams so any player tuning in or who attends can get it (not just attendees due to the pandemic and ticket scalpers). Skin pack exclusive capes should be usable on any skin (Jeb's Scarf cape in Skin pack 3).
Purchasable capes would also be nice from either promotional material (similar to the promo codes in cereal or with action figures), or on the marketplace on Bedrock. It would also encourage players to play Mojang's other games to try earning the other capes. This gives us more colors to pick from to match our skins (since we only have a gold and blue cape on Bedrock & the Red Migrator on Java for most recent players). It'd also be good if our capes from Minecraft Dungeons could be used in both Java and Bedrock (and Dungeons emotes in Bedrock since they even have duplicate emotes from Bedrock in Dungeons), think cape parity. Ideally, any capes you own in Java could be used on Bedrock in the Dressing Room, or Bedrock's capes you own in Java's skin menu. Capes should be more common than they are now.
